  • Overview

    MWG is recruiting for an Analyst who is responsible for providing analytics and measurement deliverables to our retail and CPG clients. This covers a wide range of solutions, such as shopper engagement across all of MWG’s platforms including websites, ecommerce platforms, mobile apps and campaign performance for digital marketing services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to skillfully analyze data and develop client presentations by strategically and creatively turning facts and statistics into a compelling narrative. This role works with many types of 1st party and 3rd party data acquired across MWG’s assets that can be structured or unstructured. The position combines creative thinking, organizational and analytical skills, project management as well as the ability to work closely with many internal groups. This position reports to the VP Insights, Analytics and Data Infrastructure


    • Provide ROI and campaign performance analysis for all digital advertising campaigns and marketing programs, using a variety of data sources but primarily retailer sales data. Produce well-written campaign summaries for clients
    • Lead custom research projects for clients using first party data. Digest project goals, and key measures to determine the data set, produce metrics and analyze data to provide value and insights for the client
    • Collaborate with the Data Operations and Business Intelligence teams to identify process improvements that could enhance the way data is collected and analyzed and continually seek to improve data accuracy, timeliness and actionability for the business.
    • Provide general analysis on a variety of MyWebGrocer marketing initiatives such as the corporate website, consumer and client surveys, and industry trends
    • Identify the best mix of research tools available to conduct analysis, with a natural curiosity for new products, especially in the digital space
    • Create dashboards, reports and self-service reports for internal and external end-users


    • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field of study; or equivalent experience preferred.
    • 2+ years of related experience, ideally in the digital advertising, grocery retail analytics or consumer packaged goods marketing area
    • Basic-intermediate SQL with the desire and ability to rapidly advance your skill set and query very large datasets for insights
    • Solid understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture etc., with the ability to define requirements for data development for data engineers
    • Strong analytical and reporting, business writing and project management skills required.
    • Excellent written communication and data visualization skills a must.
    • Effective time management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines
    • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Pivot Tables and Power Point required
