MWG is recruiting for Software Engineer Intern within the IT Operations team. We are looking to hire a Software Engineer Intern with a passion for automation and the cloud within our R&D Platform Delivery & Automation engineering team. The team is responsible for enhancing the architecture, delivery, testing and security of our platform with a strong focus on cloud environments.


  • Assist with automating the creation of cloud based environments as part of the platform build out that are highly available and scalable
  • Assist with automating the build and deployment of artifacts associated with our core platform
  • Maintain and enhance the software delivery pipeline using continuous delivery methodologies
  • Assist Quality Assurance in testing our platform across multiple environments
  • Work closely with other R&D feature development teams, Quality Assurance and Automated Quality Assurance, both local and remote, to provide stable environments
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives
  • Clearly and constructively communicate concerns and risks
  • Conduct and participate in regular code reviews
  • Assist with special projects as needed 


  • Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a full-time academic program, majoring in Computer Science Degree 
  • A mixture of software and infrastructure experience or course work
  • An understanding of working with cloud providers such as Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of scripting and automating processes
  • An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle 
  • An understanding of branch and merge strategies and source control
  • Experience with .Net, C#, Powershell and SQL is a plus
  • Experience using tools such as Visual Studio, JIRA, Crucible, Team City, Proget, and Octopus Deploy also a plus
  • An understanding of agile methodologies
  • Understanding of software architectures and concepts, especially continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
  • Understanding of networking architecture and computer systems, both Windows and Linux based
  • Must be in strong academic standing
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems creatively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills including excellent listening, written and verbal abilities
  • Availability to complete a summer internship May 21-August 17, 2018
  • Have authorization to work in the United States
