Inventory and Pricing Manager

As MWG’s Inventory & Pricing Manager within the Media Department you will maintain two key aspects to our media business: Inventory and Pricing. You will work closely with our Sales, Ad Operations, Account Strategy, Data Ops and Business Intelligence teams to identify inventory and pricing opportunities, trends and risks and build recommendations around these. You will solely be responsible for compiling and unveiling inventory stats and forecasts.


This position is based in New York City but Burlington, VT is also a location option for this role.


Daily Duties:

  • Fully own media Rate Card and analyze how we sell our inventory
  • Review and approve all inventory reservations and pricing discounts within our Order Management System
  • Meet with Ad Operations team on a weekly basis to cover campaign delivery status to help recommend options and/or investigate inventory spikes and drops
  • Proactively alert Sales and Account Strategy to potential delivery issues due to overbooking, traffic changes, and nuances across all properties
  • Collaborate with Ad Ops team to build all Sales Products (custom or standard)
  • Monitor network health monthly by tracking inventory sell-through, determining benchmarks, investigating trends & sharing learnings with Sales, Account Strategy, & Ad Ops teams
  • Frequently make recommendations to Account Strategy and Sales better align proposals against specific publisher inventory
  • Build custom 1st and 3rd party audiences across multiple DMPs

Long Term Projects:

  • Work closely with Ad Ops teams to determine which ad units/products have the highest and lowest viewability stats and make recommendations to maximize our viewability score
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups including Ad Ops, Account Strategy, Business Intelligence, Data Ops and Sales to identify new inventory opportunities
  • Provide in-depth analysis to show potential revenue opportunities/misses for new retailers and/or edits to existing retailers
  • Work with Account Strategy to keep track of and approve all Upfront Buys and Custom Rate Cards built across CPG Brands and maintain a master doc to represent all pricing
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Data Ops to build and automate inventory reporting tools and dashboards


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S). with 2-3 years of experience with Digital Advertising, Advertising Sales, Advertising Agencies, Project Management, or other related fields. Knowledge of digital advertising is a must.
  • Experience working within the Google’s DoubleClick tool set preferred (DFP, DFP Sales Management, DCM, DBM...etc.).
  • A self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Problem solving skills are necessary to efficiently manage and resolve client concerns. Must be proactive and work with a minimum amount of supervision, as well as part of a larger team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
