MWG is recruiting a Business Intelligence Analyst who will work directly with Business Intelligence
Engineers, Retail Operations, Advertising Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Senior Leadership, and
Account Management, as well as with direct Retail customers. Using a variety of data sources and
technologies, the BI Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and automating CPG,
retailer, and internal reporting needs. The ideal BI Analyst is a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced
environment either autonomously or collaboratively, bringing new ideas for process-improvement, data
insights and visualization, all while working with a variety of customers and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Use MSSQL to access online and in-store sales data
  • Automate processes through SSIS to support reports developed and maintained in SSRS
  • Maintain database entries to support operational advertising needs
  • Create, deploy, and support customer facing reports and dashboard technology
  • Recommend appropriate solutions and strategies by abstracting, analyzing and decomposing high and low level information
  • Execute implementation tasks for brand new Retailers and support current customers through other operational tasks
  • Create and document new processes and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience;
  • 1-3 years of direct professional experience, or solid exposure to key technologies;
  • Strong computer and internet skills including windows platform and web based applications;
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools desired;
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL required. SSIS, SSRS, SSAS highly desired;
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a high-pressure work environment and work well in multi- disciplinary teams;
  • Must possess high level analytical skills and an eye for detail that is necessary to evaluate information from multiple data sources;
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information;
  • Must possess high level interpersonal skills and be an energetic and be a collaborative team player with a “can do” attitude;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required;
  • Must be very well organized with high level ability to plan, prioritize, and take initiative;
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic, and sometimes intense work environment.
