MyWebGrocer Media Sales is seeking an experienced Programmatic Director of Sales in the Ad Operations group in New York City. The ideal candidate has well-established relationships with buyers across the ecosystem and takes a data-driven approach to maximizing revenue across a broad portfolio of premium properties on all platforms. The primary objective of this role is to grow Programmatic revenue in concert with our Direct Sales team ensuring that client goals are being

met and exceeded on every campaign. This person is a self-starter who thrives with autonomy and is not afraid to get their hands dirty at times in a newly-created role. This position is highly-visible and plays a key part in the overall Digital growth strategy by driving new revenue streams through strong client relationships, technology expertise and deep analytics.


  • Develop overall Go-To-Market strategy for MyWebGrocer Programmatic and Audience Extension Sales.
  • Evangelize the value proposition of MyWebGrocer Programmatic and Audience Extension offerings to agencies, DSPs, brands and trading desks.
  • Optimize existing programmatic relationships and test packaging strategies to drive incremental revenue.
  • Evaluate potential new partners, platforms and opportunities for revenue growth. Including but not limited to audience segment development and sale opportunities
  • Work closely with MyWebGrocer Direct Sales team to prospect new clients and execute successful campaigns.
  • Be a subject matter expert about all things programmatic for sales and advertiser/agency partners. Participate on sales calls to help streamline the sales approach and insure the available tools and platforms are being discussed and utilized.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence team to define strategy for building compelling audience segments to activate in Programmatic and Audience Extension deals.
  • Review detailed performance data regularly and identify opportunities for growth across all Programmatic revenue streams.
  • Partner with SSPs to ensure seamless deal execution and troubleshoot any issues.


  • College degree required
  • 2-4 years in digital ad sales and/or operations
  • 2-3 years experience in programmatic or digital publisher advertising sales, with a particular focus on Private Marketplaces, Preferred Deals and Automated Guaranteed.
  • DMP experience
  • CPG/FMCG experience a plus
  • Proven track record of closing deals and meeting/exceeding revenue goals.
  • Extensive knowledge of online ad technology landscape including SSPs, exchange/RTB functionality, header bidding solutions, and general industry trends.
  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker, problem solver.
  • Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships within a cross-functional organization.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Salesforce
  • Self-motivated, proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Passionate about media, CPG, digital marketplace, e-comm and technology.
  • A working understanding of the Doubleclick stack a plus
  • Experience selling and leveraging first and second party data a plus
  • Proven experience working on campaigns with ROI attribution/measurement solutions a plus
  • Sense of humor and a positive attitude are non-negotiable.
  • Some level of travel as necessary
